Children's Care Center | Adolescent Care Center At Mountain View Hospital, we take the care and treatment of children and adolescents very seriously and have continuously worked to be able to provide the best possible care needed. The continuum of care is based on the need to provide complete services throughout the recovery process. To that end, Mountain View Hospital has specialized programs for acute inpatient stabilization, residential care (long-term care) and therapeutic foster care. This wide-range of programs means that a child or adolescent can have care in the least restrictive method possible. The

Psychiatric Treatment
Goals
The
goal of all Centers is to provide a structured, therapeutic environment.
This is accomplished by utilizing various modalities that include the
following: Comprehensive
evaluation including psychological and educational testing, psycho social
assessment, complete physical and psychiatric examination, speech and hearing
evaluation, and chemical dependency assessments (as appropriate). Individual,
group and family therapy with professional staff. Educational services are provided, when appropriate, through our licensed school, Summit Academy, where educational programs are tailored to the individual's academic and emotional needs. Recreation,
play and activity therapy. Adventure
Based Counseling (a self-esteem, communication and trust-developing variation of
the ROPES course), one of the only adult programs in the state to use this form
of therapy. Specialty
groups including children of alcoholics, sexual abuse groups and communication
skills. Social
Services. Individualized
behavior modification programs, designed to be transferable to home situations. Parent
education training and parent support groups. Aftercare and outpatient services. Chemical Dependency Treatment Goals The
goal of Mountain View Hospital’s Chemical Dependency Centers is to provide a
safe therapeutic environment for patients who require an inpatient setting.

Relapse Prevention Therapy. Outside support groups (Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and other groups when appropriate).
